Countdown Timer
Most timers live on your phone. Hidden. Face-down on the desk. Buzzing notifications you’ll miss because you’re deep in work.
Quick Launch Countdown Timer lives where you already are. Type “q 5m” and the countdown starts. The extension badge ticks down while you work. The alert fires in your browser.
No app. No subscription. Lives in your browser.

How It Works
Five Keystrokes. Timer Running.
Press Ctrl+Shift+Space to open Quick Launch. Type “q” followed by your duration. Press Enter. The countdown starts.
Your extension icon displays the remaining time as a badge. No popup. No new tab. Just a number counting down while you work.
- q 5m → five minutes
- q 1h → one hour
- q 90s → ninety seconds
- q 1h30m → one hour thirty minutes
- q 10 → ten minutes (plain numbers default to minutes)
Mix and match. 1h30m, 90m, 1.5h — all produce the same 90-minute timer.
When Time's Up
Alert Where You’re Looking. Not Where Your Phone Is.
The countdown reaches zero. Your browser notification fires. You hear the sound alert (if enabled).
The badge clears. No nag. No dismissal required. The timer is done. It’s part of the quick launch tools for staying focused — timers, todos, and music from one shortcut.
The notification appears in your browser — you’ll see it even if you’ve switched tabs or applications.
