GIF Maker
Record. Edit. Export. While Your Coffee’s Still Hot.
Most GIF tools upload your recording to their servers, process it remotely, then send it back. You wait for upload. Wait for encoding. Wait for download. GIF Maker runs entirely in your browser. Zero uploads. Zero waiting.
Browser-native screen capture with text overlays, cropping, and frame-accurate trimming.

Browser-Native Recording
No upload step. No server queue. No download wait.
GIF Maker uses the Chrome Tab Capture API to record directly in your browser. The video stream never leaves your machine. Encoding happens locally using Web Workers — background processes that don’t freeze your browser while they work.
Draw your capture area with a simple drag. Click the record button. A 3-second countdown gives you time to position. Perform your action. Click stop. You’re in the editor. Not after upload. Not after processing. Immediately.
Tab Capture API streams directly to memory. Frame extraction at your chosen FPS (10, 15, 20, or 30). On-demand encoding happens when you export, not before.

Text Overlays with Fabric.js
Draggable captions with professional fonts and stroke control.
7 Professional Fonts — Roboto, Poppins, Mulish, DM Sans, Bebas Neue, Questrial, Abril Fatface.
4 Size Options — Small (16px), Medium (24px), Large (36px), Extra Large (48px).
Full Drag-to-Reposition — click to select, drag to move, resize handles at corners.
Stroke Control — None, Thin, Normal, Thick, Extra Thick for readability on any background.
Background Fill — optional coloured background behind text for maximum contrast.
GIFs in emails can’t have captions below them. The text must be in the GIF. With proper overlays, your animated demo becomes self-documenting.

Crop, Trim, Adjust
The full editing suite. Frame-accurate precision.
Cropping: 8 drag handles (four corners plus four edges) with live pixel dimensions. Non-destructive preview before applying.
Timeline Trimming: Frame-accurate, not second-based. Two handles define exactly which portion becomes your final GIF. Step through frame by frame with arrow keys.
Image Adjustments: Brightness (50–150%), Contrast (50–150%), Saturation (0–200%). Real-time preview via CSS filters, baked into final frames during export.
Batch Delete: Select individual frames or Shift+Click a range, then delete them all at once. Plus rotate, flip, and reverse.

Export Settings
Granular control over quality, speed, and file size.
Quality: High, Standard, or Draft — NeuQuant colour quantization for optimal 256-colour palettes with LZW compression.
FPS: 10, 15, 20, or 30 frames per second. For most email marketing, 10–15 FPS is the sweet spot.
Speed: 0.5x slow motion to 2x fast-forward. A 10-second capture at 2x becomes a 5-second GIF.
Export Size: Original, 800px, 640px, 480px, or 320px. Smaller dimensions dramatically cut file size — an 800px GIF is often half the size of a 1200px original.

Your screen captures never leave your machine.
Screen recordings often contain internal dashboards, customer data, proprietary workflows. With browser-native processing, that data never touches external infrastructure.
